One Loop, Two Loop, Three Loop, Four

If I don't get a new belt soon, my pants will hit the floor. It feels great to tighten a belt one more loop. And this is a new/smaller belt.

It's official, Finals are over, one week of break...well I still have to work, but you know what I mean. So tonight after my last final I went to relax with a 1 mile swim! That's right, 1750 yards in 40:10. That breaks down to a 2:18 per 100 yrds. Not great but not bad. I see that I need to work on the endurance, the first 1000 yrds were done in regular fashion but the last 750 was a B$&(*$%. Well its a good start in preparation for the Alcatraz swim (1.5 miles, swim from THE ROCK to shore). The website for the event says that in order to do the even, you should be able to do 1000 yrds in a pool in under 40 minutes comfortably. Well what do you know.

Unfortunately, with all the swimming I've been doing I noticed that I've neglected the run. I haven't run in 2 weeks. I know, I know, train your weakness. Bonelli is a short time away and I need to prep. So I'm rallying the troops, Meryl (wife), Josh (swim buddy), Adam (old buddy), and Luke (cousin). Lets all go for a run at Bonelli, get me used to people passing me. hahaha. Maybe next Sunday. And if anyone in the blog-o-sphere is in the area, feel free to join us. I'll probably be wearing my Get Your Geek On shirt.

Swimming a mile is still pretty damn good. Nice work! Now, yes! Get out there and run too :-)
